Image by beast love We went to this Brighton Tattoo Convention this weekend, which was awesome. But what made it more awesome was that it was freeeeee, thanks to Katy Lennon and her Bizarre Magazine contacts. So I just spent the afternoon running around asking people with pained expressions on their faces if I could take a photo of their new additions. The last time I came here in 2009, I tried to make my shots all look a bit surgical (www.flickr.com/photos/b-love/3247177750, www.flickr.com/photos/b-love/3247173078, www.flickr.com/photos/b-love/3247167228), so this time around I wanted to make more of an effort to capture not only the tattoos being created, but also the tattoos of the artists innking them. So, this is my first and favourite shot. More to come.
Tattoo Hebrides - Waiting to Perform

Tattoo Hebrides - Friday 7th August 2009 This stunning event was part of the national Homecoming Scotland celebrations. The Tattoo was orgaised by Stornoway Amenity Trust and was the first Tattoo seen in Stornoway for 43 years. Over 500 performers took to the area to entertain a large crowd on one of the most pleasant evenings of the year.
